Headboard Design Ideas that Gives Aesthetics in Your Bedroom
Headboard functions not just be the balance between the head and the body on the bed. When designed properly, the headboard can give a more aesthetic to your bedroom.
According to Christina Suardi, an interior designer from Arch Studio Workshop, in addition to aesthetic purposes, “headboard” also serves as the head restraint and the top of the backrest body during sitting position in bed.
There are two things to consider when designing a headboard. First, the shape of the headboard should be considered to be in line with the body on the bed, also with the room. Do not let the headboard become larger or more dominant than the bed itself. The headboard can also be designed with attached or separate beds.
Second, the material used must provide comfort, especially when we’re leaning. “In general, materials that are widely used are synthetic leather and fabric, however, many are now also using wood and HPL are then designed to match the body of the bed,” added Christina.
Need to keep in mind, should the material to make a headboard is a material that is easy to clean because it cannot be replaced as often as we change the sheets.
