Volvo entered the niche market with the launch of the 2015 Volvo S60 Cross Country at the Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS) in 2015. This is a sedan with high ground clearance which was then called “crossover sedan”, inspired from the station wagon models Cross Country, which first appeared in 1997 ago.
This car is 2.5 inches higher than the S60 standard. The looks similar to the V60 Cross Country, seen from the muscular appearance of the plastic trim around the tires and underbody protection panels. Shades of off-road vehicles are also quite thick of bumper design.
As a supporting feature, the legs are made more rigid. Tire uses 18 inch rim diameter sizes as standard and 19 inches are available for additional options.
