The Largest Artificial Waterfall in Asia are in China
It seems that China does not want to lose than any other country, even in the art of architecture. After announcing plans to build “Sky City” higher than Burj Khalifa and the statue of Mao Zedong, a few days ago, China inaugurated the largest artificial waterfall in Asia.
Reported by Amusing Planet, the largest man-made waterfall is located in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China. This waterfall has a height of 12.5 meters and a width of 400 meters.
This project took two years of completion. The costs to be spent by the Chinese government to build it was 1.1 billion yuan. This waterfall is part of a project designed to divert water from the River Niulan to Dianchi Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Yunnan.The diversion of river water will help cope with the flooding in the River Niulan, also functions as a water supply for emergencies.
