In the automotive exhibition, Tokyo Motor Show 2015, Suzuki helped showcase their wide range of motorcycle products, one of which is the motor that is used in the MotoGP race. This model was developed since 2012 in order to become the motor that is ready to compete in MotoGP.
Suzuki GSX-RR MotoGP this year is very different from the Suzuki GSX-RR used in the spring of 2010. Motor GSX-RR uses parallel four-cylinder engine (inline). “V engine or inline both have advantages and disadvantages. Indeed, it is rather difficult to find the right geometry for inline engines. But, when the geometry has been obtained, it would be better maneuverability when compared with V engine, “explains Satoru Terada, Project Leader of Suzuki GSX-RR.
Since MotoGP Jerez in May 2015, Suzuki GSX-RR is already using torductor who had first used on Honda RC213V, but the difference in Suzuki this can only be used within 1 hour. During the 2015 model year, Suzuki also uses the swing arm with the longer dimension so that the motor has better stability when accelerating.
