Paris, The Most Popular Travel Destinations in the World
Paris was again ranked first as the most popular tourist destinations in the world. A total of 32.3 million people visited Paris in 2013.
Tourist attractions that get the most visitors include the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum and Notre-Dame Cathedral. The number of visits reported by the French government as recently released by Dailymail, Tuesday (03/11/2014).
Although some countries in the world facing an economic crisis, but as told the local tourism office, in 2013 was a good year for tourism in Paris and other regions of France.
However, statistics show the largest number of international tourist arrivals to Paris, came from the UK, followed by the United States, Germany, Italy, and China. Statistics also show the first time China entered the top ranking tourist from Asia.
Chinese tourists reached 881 thousand to Paris, passing the tourist arrivals from Japan. In addition, there was a 21 percent increase in visits from the Middle East region.
However, the French population does not seem enthusiastic about visiting the country’s capital city. The number of domestic tourists staying at hotels in Paris declined 7.5 percent compared to the year 2012.
