Poodle Dog has 3 types of sizes : standard poodle, miniature and toy .

The characteristics :

Oval shaped eyes with black or brown color.
Its ears are long and hang close to the head.
Long and straight snout.
Its feet are oval and curved fingers.
The tail can be managed and made height.
Curly fur and has several colors such as black, blue, red, beige, white, apricot, gray, brown, or party – color .

Temperament :

Poodle dogs are smart dogs , very responsive , cheerful , fun , and is said to be one of the most easily trained dog . Poodle Dogs like to socialize with people and gets along with other dogs and other animals . They are also a very good guard dog for its size . But without the amount and type of the right exercise, poodle dogs could be timid and very sensitive .

Poodle dog owners who cannot show the attitude of a ” pack leader ” will make the dog assume that he was the ” pack leader ” of humans. And also, do not let this little dog to develop ” small dog syndrome “. This can cause a variety of behavioral problems such as growling, barking obsessively, sensitive, cannot be entrusted with the kids and even adults sometimes though.

Remember that behavior problems was not the nature of the poodle, but the nature of which is developed by the owner who could not show attitude as a ” pack leader “. Health Issues :

Long-lived breed of dog like a poodle dog, however, has several genetic diseases, which some are prone to IMHA (Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia), slipped stifle (knee shifted), diabetes, epilepsy, heart disorders, PRA, runny eyes, ear infections and digestion problems.

Physical Exercise :

Poodle dog is an active dog that needs walking every day . Playing it can meet their needs , but for dogs , just playing can not fulfill their natural instinct to run . Dogs who do not get walked every day activities will display behavioral problems.

Age :

12-15 years or over several years.

Grooming / dog care :

Poodle Dogs should be bathed regularly and clipped his fur every 6 to 8 weeks. Frequently clean the ears and check if there is mold and remove wax or hair that grows in the ear canal. The teeth need regular scaling. There are several types of poodle clips. The most common and easily referred to, among others:the “pet clip “, ” puppy clip ” or ” lamb clip ” where the fur is cut short all over the body. Poodle dog has a low degree of hair loss so it is very suitable for allergy sufferers.
